Still present with Adobe Reader X (10.1.4) on Wine 1.7.34 (Xubuntu 14.04
x86_64).  Workaround:

wine reg add "HKLM\\SOFTWARE\\Policies\\Adobe\\Acrobat
Reader\\10.0\\FeatureLockDown" /v bProtectedMode /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
