Same problem. I'm just trying to play the PC Demo on Steam. Steam opens fine
and I fixed the text bug but when I try to run the demo, it crashes right away.
I've tried on 2 different machines and get the same result.  

I tried setting VideoMemorySize as described in the comments but it doesn't
seem to work. When I reopen Regedit, the VideoMemorySize entry has disappeared.
