I tested it a month or two ago. I was able to play a game for more then a half
hour on greater distance as I mentioned in my previous post (12ms, 4 routers,
3x 5GHz connections). Then it failed on the mismatch (game was about to end)
but it used to happen on Windows too from time to time.

Testing machines were running Kubuntu 14.04, not sure about wine versions. One
had probably installed Wine from PPA (1.7), the second one probably distro repo
version (1.6).
