Well for me it still crashes with the current git. Did you try the Summer 2012
Release? If so, maybe the bug isn't present on AMD graphics cards.

The question is: Is there someone for whom the game runs under Windows, but
crashes under Wine? (I only have a virtual machine with Windows, where the game
doesn't even start) Otherwise this bug might be invalid as well.
