Not sure if this is about the exact same problem, but Arx Fatalis also has
texture corruption and that was caused by the same commit:
ee8a5b7dd1e554ef32229c766715f23ba17c9f6c

You can reproduce the problem with Arx Fatalis demo version:

Texture corruption is present in the intro video as well as in the main game.
