Bad Ubuntu kernel update stopped wine running on my PC
Now fixed in kernel 3.13.0-61
Installed the latest wine from the ppa    wine1.7  1:1.7.44-0ubuntu1 

The problem still exists see the two SQRL screen shots showing the cliped text
in the passwords option box when the option is selected and the text is changed
to BOLD.

Just noticed a similar issue in the column headings of the drives tab of the
wine configuration screen [ see third screen shot] which may, or may not, be
related
