I see it as an option in Ubuntu but not set as the default. Can you try again
in Wine 1.7.45 or later? You may need to remove the cache so that it's built
again from scratch.

I recall it used to have some odd behaviour years ago so I suspect that this
may be fixed.

I also suspect that it's not Wine that sets this but the distro, but others
will know better than I do.
