I can't speak for the others who reported this previously, but I've not seen
the messages spamming the console in quite some time.  As for the other issues
I mentioned here running DVDFab, in my case I've discovered they are all
specifically when using the nVidia opengl.  I'm running Gentoo and if I switch
the the xorg opengl those issues all go away, which is what I've been doing to
get by.
