Still present in Wine 1.7.42.

When starting the game from the launcher the Bioware and EA logos have sound,
the menu has no sound, upon starting a new game the first intro video
'Previously on Mass Effect' has music but no voices, the rest of the game runs
silently.

Audio works properly if I start the game directly with MassEffect2.exe

I do have sound in this case.
