Hmmm, I don't have those problems, but I'm using an older version of Wine
(1.4.1).

With this version + patch above +
http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/patch/c09c82b25a3c95e79f23f22571fe9a63b38b824c
+ winetricks directplay, the game is running virtually 100% perfect in all
areas, including real multiplayer play.
