You can also use some online FTP testing service if you can't rule out that
local/upstream providers filter/cheat here.

Anyway, the FTP service (but not the host itself) seems dead to me.
It should be possible to replicate the "cancel" behaviour of the prerequisite
download with a small test app, using some anon FTP server payload.
