Wine probably could use hivex/libhivex [3], especialy given that NeoSmart
developers test it by contacting author itself, Richard W.M. Jones [4].
Then I see libhivex mentioned in the changelog [5] of fred -- cross-platform
Forensic Registry EDitor [6]. I just found it's source but haven't looked at
it yet: [7].
It seems hivex/libhivex is covered by LPGL, while fred uses GPL.
