I found Ivona Reader v1.0.16 and it works as designed.

You obviously need to properly install SAPI, preferably via 'winetricks -q
speechsdk'.
If you don't do this, crashes are expected since Wine doesn't implement SAPI/MS
Speech Engine.

Resolving 'fixed' although there was likely nothing to fix here since OP/other
commenters didn't install SAPI properly/at all.
