[Bug 38922] Unable to update Evernote x.y to 5.8.13: "Evernote was already installed by another user"

Here are the minimal instructions to reproduce:

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.53

$ sha1sum *
6ab6955ce7ef80d9aa567fac374611f210f96dfe  Evernote_5.8.12.8127.exe
90f416f06d0155384936197818456a756e89c644  Evernote_5.8.13.8152.exe
c58652bec9ccf373cdc00c7d77f67e0b4fcb8570  Evernote_5.9.1.8742.exe

$ export WINEPREFIX=~/wine-evernote
$ export WINEARCH=win32

$ wine Evernote_5.8.12.8127.exe

( default installation options, sign in with existing account, wait a couple of
minutes for sync to complete, exit evernote )

$ wineserver -k

$ wine Evernote_5.8.13.8152.exe

(hm, title says 'resuming the Evernote 5.8.12 Setup Wizard ' )

And now running 5.8.13.

( exit evernote )

$ wineserver -k

$ wine Evernote_5.9.1.8742.exe

Now the dreaded pop-up appears. It might be that a second upgrade triggers the
problem.
