--- Comment #9 from Rosanne DiMesio <dimesio at earthlink.net> ---
As comment 2 mentions, only the installer, uninstaller, and intro are Windows
executables, and they work fine in Wine. The game itself is DOS, and it works
fine when run directly in native DOSBox (including sound) or by using Wine to
run the Windows version of DOSBox installed by the game and then starting the
game in that (no sound, as mentioned).

What doesn't work is using Wine to start RDX.BAT, RDX2.BAT, or RRT.EXE. The
first script plays 2k_intro.exe (a Windows executable) successfully, then fails
trying to run RDX2.BAT. Running RDX2.BAT directly results in two DOSBox windows
appearing briefly (one native, one the Windows version installed by the app),
then closing. Running RRT.EXE in Wine results in a native DOSBox window opening
briefly and then closing.

It's possible that this is something that has already been fixed in DOSBox. The
native version of DOSBox I have installed is 0.74, and according to
http://wiki.winehq.org/DOSBox, some of the changes to DOSBox to improve
compatibility with Wine are "currently only available in the SVN Version and
will be included in DOSBox 0.75."
