Austin, as i already said, here's the issue.
I've just installed the game, and ran it with 1.7.51 wine version. If i set
"OffscreenRenderingMode" to "default", i can't see anything in the main menù,
and i can't start any new game.
If i set "OffscreenRenderingMode" to "Backbuffer", i see everything in the main
menù, but if i start a new game, screen is completely black, and even if i hear
sounds, i can't see anything and the game is not playable.
I also ran the game with 1.5.0 wine version (just to give it a try), and it
works without any issue with "OffscreenRenderingMode" set to "default", even
the main menù.
So your question is: is this still an issue with newer versions of wine?
The answer is: i don't f*****g know, since i can't reproduce it anymore! But..
If it has been "solved" in 1.5.0 wine version, i SUPPOSE that it has been also
solved in 1.7.51 wine version, which now presents another bug (#36373).

Can you close this bug? If you say "it's been solved since it works with older
wine versions", i say yes. If you say "i don't know, since i can't reproduce it
with newer wine version", i say no.
