Hadn't tested it in a while. Ubuntu 15.04 has wine 1.6.2 (or at least I have
wine 1.6.2 and am on ubuntu 15.04), and the issue still occurs exactly how I
had described it (cannot load game from newly launched session, or launch
'quick start').

Over the weekend I'll compile a new version of wine and test if I find the time
(I don't have the game disc right now to install on an up-to-date Arch Linux
install).
