Have you tried running the game with native d3drm.dll? See
https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12851

d3drm hasn't implemented the main rendering parts yet (viewports, textures,
frames and their dependancies) I'm planning to implement them in the coming
months. There were a few bug fixes since that old bug report though, so do try
running the game with the native dll and see if you get a similar crash.
