[Bug 40405] Adobe Photoshop CS6 crashes after about 2 minutes

When I check for updates, it says that 1.8-rc4 is the latest update.

I downloaded 1.9.7 and the file expanded, but there is no application in the
folder and I'm not exactly sure how to run the Photoshop program from this. 

Sorry I'm bugging you about this, I'm just so frustrated and confused.
