a terminal output after borderland freezes and no dialog pops up

Adding terminal output after a total freeze and black screen without option to
quit showing up. hitting ctrl+c kills at and reveal the attached terminal
output, which is different from the previous one.

Still an issue, 1.9.6
I mean wine 1.9.5 not "steam 1.9.5" in previous comment/post. i am not using
steam at all.
