Winetricks is an unrelated third party project. The PPA you are talking about
is exclusively used for WineHQ software, which means it wouldn't really fit in
there.

To get more up-todate versions of winetricks, you can either use unofficial
repositories, for example:
https://launchpad.net/~pipelight/+archive/ubuntu/stable/+packages

Or alternatively, just use the builtin auto-update functionality recently
merged into winetricks.
