[Bug 37823] notepad++ crashes when opening a new file

By the date the bug was posted the newest version was 6.7.2, but comment 2
explicitly says 6.7 - https://notepad-plus-plus.org/repository/6.x/6.7/

And the bug was testes against 1.6.2, but the attachment shows 1.7.33. Comment
0 says that the crash requires computer restart, which indicates the problem
may not be in Wine. Also the prefix was shared with something else:
> 00000014 BackupStack.exe

I have just tested it at 1.6.1 with files of various sizes and could not
reproduce the issue.

Is this still an issue in Wine 1.9.24 or later?
