No. I have not reported anything to pingo author and I'm not in contact with
him.

I'm not sure, but the website suggests that XP compatibility was given by
tests. Also, the webpage says that version 0.42 fixed an error in 0.41 that

As you can see, unfortunately the program is closed source and there is no
details about code or internals.
