OS: Mac OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2

dump during installation
Downloaded winehq-stagin-1.9.23.pkg and installed without incident (I'm new to
Wine)
Then, double-clicked the Mastercook 15 install file, and Wine initiated the
installation as expected.
Allowed Wine to download and install Mono and Gecko.
Then the installer actually began. I accepted the end user license agreement,
left it to install the complete default setup type, and the installation
appeared to be going normally and well.
A notifier window was displayed "Finalizing install. Please Wait..."
Then a program error window appeared "The program Mastercoon15.exe has
encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." Below, it added "This can be caused by a problem in th
eprogram or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check the Application
Database for tips about running this application." (I already know it's not in
the database). I showed the details and saved them (they're attached below),
and clicked ok.
Installation then appeared to continue and I saw a window telling me that the
Installshield Wizard has successfully installed Mastercook 15. Click Finish to
exit the wizard." I unchecked the box to create a desktop shortcut, and
continued.
A 2nd Program error notifier window was displayed giving me the same message
that was previously displayed. Again, I clicked to view the details, saved
them, and then clicked close to continue. I can't attach a 2nd attachment to
this message but will submit a follow-up part 2 bug report with it.
Next, I was told by Mastercook that it requires Quicktime ot play movie files,
and I clicked ok.
The install appeared to finish without incident.
Then I attempted to run Mastercook, and saw the same notifier window for a
Program Error for the 3rd time - again I saved the details and clicked ok.
Again, will submit that dump in part 3.
This is a program I've been using in Windows, updating as needed, for 20 years,
so I know the program works. It's just getting it to work on the new Mac
that's been an issue. I'm happy to help in any other way I can, but I haven't
been a developer for a very long time, and never on the Mac. There appears to
be no problem with any other application on the Mac - just getting this to run.
Thank you in advance for your help with this problem.
