I can also start Reaper with WASAPI on Pulseaudio in shared mode but it sounds
horrible -> all over crackling. Same crackling sound but not that bad I got
with DirectSound.

Tested this on two audio interfaces. The first an USB generic and the second a
Steinberg CI2. Both with the same crackling sound.

Exlusive Mode does not work with WASAPI at all on Pulseaudio.

WaveOut works fine but has a much higher latency ~30/99 ms

Best latency and sound is with winealsa.drv and WASAPI ~20/24 ms
