If your graphics card supports DirectX 11.x - then you also need to disable
d3d11 support in winecfg (sorry I've still got to add that info to the Bioshock
page)... It's a fairly recent Wine change that the detection hardware support
leads to these code pathways being enabled.

Sorry - but just double checking about the area where your crash occurs... I'll
try playing through that area (time permitting!!)
