What are the steps to reproduce? I start the game accepting the default options
and I'm presented with the go board. I then click randomly in the screen and
black and white pieces appear without any problem, no broken line like in your
screenshot. I'm using wine 1.9.12.

The board in your screenshot is bigger than mine so obviously you are using
different settings in the game which could lead to the bug.
