Just wanna add that I also had that problem (when used ZorinOS).
If I installed the 64bit version of the OS it'd give me that exact same error.
When I switch to 32bit version, it'd run fine.

I read some posts on how to try to fix that, change some SSL settings,
libraries, etc but could never solve the problem (I'm a Windows power user/dev,
but have very few experience with Linux) but I hope this helps.
