Based on the disk activity if the issue appears I have monitored it and figured
out much more about this issue: The long loading time (additional ~5 minutes)
happens because the game needs to recompile the shaders that gets stored in
NVIDIA's GLCache directory (about ~80.7 MiB in the files
~/.nv/GLCache/2dea51771edffad81c4c01d01baf251e/72e86678b0efcff2/35ac8f1b53478706.bin
and .toc or counted 1 number higher before the file extensions.

If the game starts it seems to sometimes delete 1 of the caches, I'm not sure
about the exact details. Also I don't know if this is an issue with the game
itself, an issue with the proprietary NVIDIA driver, just the GLCache
overflowing or if an issue in Wine triggers this behavior. I'm posting this now
to the developers of the game and also creating a feature request on the NVIDIA
tracker to implement an environment variable that can change the size of the
GLCache and also mentioning this issue as a potential bug.
