Ah, that's great! Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

I just built wine using the code from around 14 hours ago and tried running
mirc, and the results are same as what you said: mIRC does not work, but the
crash is not reproduced either... 

Turns out that clearing out the .wine folder fully and having wine recreate
them fixed the crash.

I still have the backup of the one that was causing the crash if needed.

Else, what to do regarding this?
