Hello, I'd like to add my own experiences with this bug. I'm having an
identical error message to the OP, similar console output, same experience.
Uplay as of the latest version will not allow me to log in to uplay without
"Uplay has encountered an unrecoverable error and must close".

I've tried corefonts, allfonts, various dll overrides, nothing has worked. I'd
like to know if anyone has any suggestions that have not yet been provided
here.

I have a few Ubisoft games. Assassin's Creed 2, AC Brotherhood, Far Cry 3 and
Blood Dragon.
