Actually it might need winetricks -q directmusic quartz. 

I got quite interesting results.

Fresh wineprefix. Tried the demo from comment 3.

Without overrides launcher is useless that's corrected with winetricks -q ie8.

Then it showed some menu and you are able to pick text over voice or something.

I did winetricks -q quartz since the console is spammed with quartz messages.
It seems to go a bit further and crashes at quartz. I was about to give up but
I still did winetricks -q directmusic and now it gave some popup message
related to voices and went even further.

I was able to see some megaman heroes drawn at the screen and the a crash.

wine 2.6-git and staging 2.6. seems to crash same point.
