[Bug 42822] Steam slow with multi-monitor setup

ok ive tested this on both kde neon, and now xubuntu 17.04. The issue still
exists:

** in the command line it gets stuck about here for 5 mins or so:

all up it takes about 20-30mins to load on dual montor setup instead of less
than a minute with single monitor setup...
