The error has changed, somewhere between 1.9.17 and 2.14. It now reads:

wine pslist.exe

Failed to take process snapshot on alex-mbr.
Make sure that the Remote Registry service is running on the remote system,
that you havefirewall ports allow RPC access, and your account has read access

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib
