With wine 1.6, the game crashes as soon as I start a flight. Then I installed
the latest stable 2.0.2, and now it doesn't crash anymore.

The game at the time wasn't free, there isn't a demo and it's not on sale
anymore. 
I think it should be easy to find it online though...
