I have the similar problem when loading the location Big Inagua after complete
Sequence 7 "The Fireship". The game crashed with "Unhandled exception: page
fault on read access to 0x00000063 in 32-bit code (0x008cf48f)." I cannot
verify if the bug present in Development version because it cannot connect to
Uplay. I'm not sure if the bug is caused by in-game overlay because I cannot
start the game with the feature disabled but I guess not since I have no
problem playing the game until this bug.
