If this issue still exists, please submit test results to FireMaker Pro 5.0's
AppDB page. The fact that it is currently Gold rating indicates that it works
perfectly with work-arounds. The application should be re-rated Silver, Bronze,
or Garbage. 

Additionally, someone here who uses the application regularly and knows the
application well should volunteer to be a Super Maintainer of the application.
There are a massive amount of versions, none of which receive frequent test
results, some have not been tested in over 10 years. Perhaps some should be
merged (like 5.0 and 5.5) if they behave very similarly.
