Which game version did you test with?

I just realized that the crash doesn't occur when only the base game is
installed (Victoria 2 v1.x).
I have the "A House Divided" expansion installed as well, and the crash does
occur with that (Victoria 2 v2.x). I don't own the "Heart of Darkness"
expansion which brings the game to version 3.x.

Mea culpa for not realizing this sooner, and I kindly ask an admin/maintainer
on Appdb to remove this bug from the following game versions:
