I've been re-testing. To summarise:
* Arch + Plasma 5 + Nvidia blob (wine 2.1) - similar instant crash
* Gentoo + Plasma 5 + Nvidia blob (wine 2.2) - instant crash
* Solus + Budgie + Nouveau (wine 2.0) - runs OK
* Ubuntu + Mate + Nouveau (wine 2.1) - runs OK
That's all on my laptop (so same hardware Nvidia Geforce 970M).

So possibly there is a problem with running a Qt5-based Desktop and this
Qt5-based application? I know Wine strips out all the QT env variables
automatically...

Can anyone reproduce the issue with a Plasma 5 Desktop Environment (+Nvidia
blob)?
