The CNET download link in this bug installs a Super Mario game pack (launcher
and 3 games) that seems to be updated every year (current version is
2016-08-12). The Mario Forever it installs looks and behaves the same as the
one in the .zip file linked to in bug 18099. I tested both, and there is no
crash in either one. 

I'm going to mark this fixed.
