I redownloaded the demo.
Instaled all default even the download manager.

The game starts with no issues.

There is some short animation of player "Kaka". 

I was able to play 1vs1 goal keeper and it seems to be extremely difficult to
get goals for a short trial, just using space as shooting skill.

wine 2.0rc4.
