The same behaviour on ArchLinux x86_64 with awesome wm on top of lxde.
The only difference is an absence of titlebar instead of GTK titlebar  (due to
tiling mode of wm) when Windows version is higher than WinXP.

It looks like Blizzard uses a different modification of the battle.net for
WinXP.  (Just take a look at the tray icon in both of versions and the
streaming button, that appears in Win7 version.)
