Tested with wine 2.0-rc6 on Ubuntu 16.04:

There is still a problem starting Turbocad v7.1 after installing but there is a
workaround. Turbocad first starts a program called "FrontLine.exe" which (I
think) gives some startup options. It then starts "TC70.exe" which is the
actual program. "Frontline.exe" does not work.....but it is not needed.

The workaround is to replace "Frontline.exe" with a copy of TC70.exe renamed
"Frontline.exe". (Program location is /home/(username)/.wine/drive_c/Program
Files (x86)/IMSI/TCW70/Program/...) 

Another, more serious, issue is that when working from a brand new install,
TurboCad v7.1 will not properly create a new file "from scratch". "Create from
scratch" (ie no template)is one of the startup options. There are many errors
but particularly dimensioning does not work properly. Dimension lines are all
over the place and the text is inverted. 

However, once an existing file has been opened, edited, and saved, this problem
disappears. It is then possible to create a new file "from scratch" and work
with it with only a few (minor) bugs. These are:

1. "Modify element" dialog boxes do not display properly. It never has...this
is an old bug (Bug 16574). The buttons to close and save are off scale. The
workaround is to press "Tab" then "Enter" and the dialog box will close and
save any changes.
2. There are some errors in special characters. In particular, the symbol for
diameter (⌀ - Unicode character U+2300) displays as a letter "u" with an accent
under it. This is new.

...and the plus side, adding light sources when rendering 3D objects now works!
It used to totally freeze the computer.

I will do a new report in the app database.
