Dear Rosanne,

I already tried to follow the installation instructions in the AppDB. With
older versions of wine, it is no problem. But with wine 2.0 it was not possible
for me to install Microsoft office.

Nevertheless, Excel Solver does not work in any version of wine. Please try to
solve an equation with solver and you will see the error. I think this is a
general bug.
