This application requires:

wine reg.exe ADD "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver" "/v"
"GrabFullscreen" "/t" "REG_SZ" "/d" "Y" /f

when run in a Wine Virtual Desktop.

Wine Staging is also affected by this issue (including 2.12).

To be fair this is documented on the Deus Ex: Human Revolution AppDB page.
