Yes. It seems to work fine. Even supports my old wacom under linux perfectly
while windows 10 no longer supports it.

Would it be possible to fast-track the keyboard state requests somehow? Memoize
them so the actual state is only updated say every 15ms ( approx 50wpm) and if
the calls come faster than that, just return a cached value instead of polling
the actual kbd state? 

It just doesn't make sense to have the polling code execute the full code path
at a rate far faster than people can type.

Shoot, I might try that myself if someone can tell me where to look
