I have the same problem with weird rendering in Rise of Nations in all recent
wine-devel versions.

The game runs without any problems using the stable versions of wine (2.0,
2.01, 2.02) using the hints from the winehq-appdb.

The problem with the disturbed graphics (weird rendering) first occured with
wine-devel 2.1 and persists until the present version (wine-devel 2.15).
