The error messages at the end of installation should be treated as a bug in
Wine, but they don't result in a broken installation (they are exist in most of
the installers from GOG.com).
In fact, I installed both MM6 and MM7 from GOG.com and the games are fully
playable despite of the installer errors. There must be something else that
causing your problem.

Please attach terminal output when you are trying to start the game.
