Ah, I see. So, it's possible to run 16-bit applications for Windows 3.1 because
they run in protected mode, then. In this case, it still seems to be like it
would be useful to have Wine detect that this won't work on a 64-bit operating
system, and to prevent the behaviour of trying to run the executables in DOSBox
(and to at least attempt to run them on 32-bit operating systems). If I can
find where this happens in the loader code, I would be willing to submit a
patch.
