--- Comment #36 from Anastasius Focht <focht at gmx.net> ---
Hello folks,

--- quote ---
I'm really quite curious as to why this bug has been kept open and not
immediately resolved as INVALID.
--- quote ---

Indeed, there is little reason to keep this ticket alive unless there are
important commercial apps/games suffering from exactly the same problem.

The comment thread is quite hilarious to read tho ;-)

--- quote ---
The program fix was provided by assembly programmers with over 20 years of
experience.

How much programming experience do you have ?
--- quote ---

I remembered a fitting quote from Kurt Tucholsky, a German satirical essayist,
poet, and critic ... this is when the Internet comes quite handy:

--- quote ---
Erfahrung heisst gar nichts. Man kann seine Sache auch 35 Jahre schlecht
machen.
--- quote ---

Translated:

--- quote ---
Experience means nothing because you could do your thing badly for 35 years.
--- quote ---

Regards
